Change is an inevitable part of life and I believe that each of us are able to make the changes we desire, often we just need that space to reflect on what those are exactly, and a little support in recognising our potential.

I can offer a confidential, warm environment, and my style is empathetic, approachable and non-judgemental. I feel honoured to be part of the journey of self-discovery with each client I support.

I have a particular interest in working with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and a sense of loss including bereavement. These issues can have a detrimental effect on our relationships with ourselves, as well as others.

Viewing each client as unique, I adopt an Integrative Approach to Counselling, the emphasis being on Person-Centred Therapy, while using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic models (see My Therapy for more information).  I also draw attention on the influence and significance of your environment, different relationships and how you ‘fit’ into your world.

Therapy Works!

"Patients with severe depression benefit as much from psychological therapy as they do from pills"

(British Medical Journal, 2015)

You Are Not Alone...

1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year.

(Mind 2013 Research)

Did You Know?

69% of people think that the world would be a better place if people talked about their feelings more.

(BACP 2014 Survey).
